Whether you're looking for an ambitious mountain bike tour or a leisurely lakeside tour, 273 km of car-free themed cycle paths and the Drau Cycle Path in a scenic setting will delight you. A very special highlight: Since summer 2014, daredevils have been able to ride the Flow Country Trail on the Petzen.
Flow-Country-Trail / Bikepark Petzen
Austria's first flow country trail opened in 2014 on our local mountain, the "Petzen." At 10 km long, it's the longest in Europe. A flow country trail is a smooth trail that caters to all mountain bikers – with a rollercoaster feeling. Tables, jumps, banked turns... endless. Whether difficult or easy – the chosen speed makes all the difference. The route was named the best flow trail of 2014 by the International Mountain Bike Bicycling Association (IMBA). With your bike in tow, you take a leisurely ride up to the trailhead in the cable car. On the way down towards the valley, bikers can really get going and demonstrate their skills.
Art Cycle Path
A highlight for all art enthusiasts - the two art cycle path tours 1 and 2, each 25 km long (duration 2-3 hours), are equally suitable for all age groups and lead with a visit to the Werner Berg Museum through the southern Jauntal valley along old churches and cultural monuments, modern sculptures and up to the healing spring.
Tunnel biking
Under the motto "Bike into the mountain," an abandoned mine tunnel between Carinthia and Slovenia has been opened up to mountain bikers for the first time. Expertly guided tours through the mountain and simultaneously from one country to the other are regularly organized.. www.stollenbiken.at
